Microblading

Rachel is an advanced Microblading specialist based in Devon.

With over 14 years of experience in the beauty industry, working in spas and leading salons across the west country and a passion for eyebrow treatments she decided to make the progression into semi permanent make up. Rachel decided to start her career as an aesthetic therapist by training in eyebrow Microblading with the leading companies in Europe. This has been incredibly rewarding for her with such a huge interest that she later went on to continue her training with an advanced aesthetics course in Microblading for eyeliner, lip liner and lip blush. The combination of her experience as a mac pro make up artist, years in the beauty industry as a senior therapist and continuing to strive for perfection has given her the necessary tools for perfoming Microblading procedures to the highest of standards.

Microblading is a form of semi permanent make up tattoo and is performed by a manual deposit of hypoallergenic pigment under the top layer of the skin using a disposable tool. It does not include the use of a machine. The technique involves drawing individual hair strokes that are more natural looking.

It is a 2 hour process. The first hour we are drawing the shape in with removable pencil. That is the longest part and the most important step. During this time, the best customised shape for the client is chosen.

Before the procedure begins a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimise discomfort. The sensation is similar to a little scratch. The area will look 40-50% darker than the colour you have chosen in consultation, but this will fade after 7 days to reveal your desired shade.

A second appointment is needed 4-8 weeks after your first treatment, this is usually a 30-60 minute appointment to add more pigment to the brow area. We advise you to always come back for your retouch.

We stock a range of colours and Rachel will give you advice, using skin and shade tests, on the colours which will enhance your own natural colours and beauty.

Everyone is different when it comes to the end result. She will always create a natural flattering look for the clients who desire something very subtle, others may want a more pronounced look, you will be able to discuss this thoroughly at your consultation.

Microblading is suitable for almost everyone wishing to enhance their natural brows.  It is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps or fill in over-plucked brows. It is ideal for those that would like to add definition to the eye line with a lash enhancement or go for a fuller winged look. It improves the appearance of lips by adding definition without surgery or fillers and restores colour to lips that are pale or dull. Microblading eliminates the daily use of lip liner pencils to outline, fill in or reshape the lip. Lip blush decreases the need to reapply lipstick regularly. Rachel is able to correct and balance the symmetry of lips that are uneven, too thick, too thin or scarred. Lip Microblading can also enhance the natural colour and shape of “perfect” lips.
